this is pretty cool to me , but i didn't register as ska or reggae to me , it felt very spanish like a flamenco sample or something , but then again i doon't listen to ska , all i know is no doubt , but still a cool track , can't wait to see who you pick for the vocals.

Thanks Vodka. It does have some spanish influence but it is definitely ska. I have done my research because of going after the reggae genre. Here is a link to some early ska and reggae examples which I have based some research on. Someone at maketunes(Ingrid I think) told me about this site. Right now this track is open for vox from whoever is ballsy enough to work it over.

Cool tune! I can see VM's point, without vocals this may even qualify as chillout, but it has that afterbeat guitar chord that is typical of reggae and ska.
I'm looking forward to the track with vocals.

This song has a great feel. It reminds of a song off an old Wyclef Jean Album called Sang Fezi where all the lyrics were in Haitian Creole. It will be interesting to hear your vocal when it's done. I get the feeling that I am walking around a seedy part of Paris checking out the working girls. Not that that is something I have ever done... but it's the feeling I get. The tone on you acoustic is nice and the synth orchestration really opens up the track and provides a lot of depth.

Thanks for listening Mike! I don't know why but for some reason that latino flavor has been sprinkling onto my tracks as of late. There is no reason for this and I am 100 percent Irish, and have been watching all 6 seasons of Sopranos which is Italian. It must be what 'THE MAN' has been putting in my tap water... lol

I [heart] horns! Blame PoH!! I was ready for this weekend, but the following weekend makes it better, cuz I'll have more $$$ set aside for gas and "party favors" *wink wink*. I just got Komplete reinstalled on my PC. Its 12 DVDs and i had to start over because DVD #7 was missing!! ARRRGGGHHH!!!!! Found it, and got it installed last night.
