Yeah, this Rocks! What a talent you got man! Love the tempo changes and the choir fitted in so well. Thanks very much for the download ;)

Coolboy in the mix.

Thanks coolboy, I'm in love with the 15 sec intro on this track, when that bass comes in!

The lyrics are:

(Latin)
Amor volat undique,
captus est libidine.
iuvenes, iuvenculae,
coniunguntur merito.
siqua sine socio,
caret omni gaudio;
tenet noctis infima
sub intimo
cordis in custodia; fit res amarissima.

(English)
Love flies everywhere, and is seized with passion. Young men and women come together, as is right. If a girl has no boyfriend, she is quite without joy; she harbours the depths of night shut up in her inmost heart. It is pure bitterness.

I'm not sure if I endorse the sentiment, but they sound cool.

It's track 15 off Carl Orf's 'Carmine Burana', which includes the famous 'O Fortuna.'

So glad I just stumbled across this little gem! Excellent composition, and you're right that the sample fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the track. Well done man!

illusivemind's picture

Hey Matt, thanks so much. It's unsurprising that the only way I could do a love song was if it was in Latin!

Haha yeah I hear ya buddy - its all good though, and not at all overly lovey dovey ;) As with anyone here, if you had got all "ronan keating" on us, I would be forced to ban your ass ;) For the good of the World, I'm sure you understand lol

Thanks Sole, wide sound is right, perhaps 'stereo seperation' is the technical phrase for the effect.

"You might be missing some of the benefits that stereo can provide!"

No worries dude.

The option is in Adobe Audition but the shite turns over too fast and I need something like the tool you have used. Question. I already have that tool available to me don't I?

(cursing vsts and difficulties in using them)
PS...I must make special note to pick up "VSTs for dummies"
My Showcase

illusivemind's picture

Haha,

I can't remember what I used for this song, but there is a vst in FL Studio called stereo separator (I think) which does the trick. Alternatively some VST's like Nexus have that built in you can adjust, it's called "Spread".

Damn. I just asked Plazmatic the same question. I had to go to page two of my tracks to see that there was a comment waiting. Usually I am on top of things bro... Thanks... I will check it out ..peace!

matt's picture

Don't you use the subscriptions system Sole?

The Sole's picture

No... my link for me goes right to 'track' and I can see all the latest activity. I am a frequent user. My Showcase

matt's picture

Ah gotcha - well if you haven't already, you might like to check out the subscriptions system - its one click to subscribe/unsubscribe to email notifications for any individual page. Its the easiest way to keep up to date with what pages you're wanting to watch

The Sole's picture

Thanks matt, but I really would rather not use the email notification system. It gives me too much email then. I get swamped already checking my email. It is a good system though. My thing is I like to keep tabs on everything. Everything - is waaay too many emails. :))
My Showcase

matt's picture

Fair enough - just wanted to make sure you knew how that system works and that its available

illusivemind's picture

Yeah I think only something like a daily digest email would work for power users like Sole, but he's a minority and this aint a democracy!

Hehe not sure my poor old brain could cope with running and maintaining several notification systems at once ;)

illusivemind's picture

Heh, me neither. You must also get a horrendous amount of notification emails Matt.

Sometimes it gets pretty hectic - but thats the advantage of the system, being able to unsubscribe from whichever pages as well

illusivemind's picture

Well I only just discovered this page:
http://www.maketunes.com/tracker

(I'd be using the one in the side-bar)
That's really everything you need to know right there!
