Ok. This may not be the style of instrumental that $Times$ is after, but I figured its worth the listen. Its a west coast beat with some east coast influences, especially in the drums. I put some real work into the mastering, running compression and EQ on the bass and the kick as well as EQ on the strings. Then, I filtered all of it through an 8 band parallel compressor. Let me know if the bass over powers in the hook. My speakers aren't the best. (And I broke my 'phones... sux to be me, i know)

yeah i checked this in my car (Which has a VERY nice system in it) and I impressed myself with the bass levels... they're fucking perfect by my standards. I hear that mystery/detective shit ya'll are talking about.
