i like the direction, add more to the verse , maybe add another distorted instrument to the hook maybe guitar, accually make the hook the verse and just add a new part to be the hook and take out the verse or u can use the harmony to make a hook. I know it seems crazy but i think it will sound more interesting. wow i just read that it sounds crazy sorry hope yopu understand what i mean as far as makeing the beat as great as it can be

ok simple way to put it there arent enough layers to the beat for it to keep attention , i cant stress that enough peoples attention span now a days is the size of a 1/1000 tic tac peice. You have to catch interest . Every 10-12 seconds. and that synth is cool just maybe a little to in your face its not a full enough sound to try to demand all attention , maybe add a different full instrument that will off set that synth. Your really need more going on in the verse still. you know i would say all this if i didnt see alot of potential in this beat.

FIre bro. Nice and hot! I think it will easily be done now though. I know you are doing it for KD to spit to, but bottom line this isn't going to be a instrumental so it doesn't need the constant change every such and such seconds. Not when vox are gonna be added to it. The vox takes care of that. Just my two cents worth. Pretty song man!
Oh you're killing me King.... My system can't handle more instruments in FL8 till I reinstall Windows (The current installation is glitchy) and maybe add about 512 more ram. I'll try the guitar... I have RealStrat and I can install either amplitube or guitar rig for the distortion and feedback FX... It might handle THAT. As for the attention span of the average listener... your right. That's the problem these days. Artists improve there beats to hold a listeners attention then say nothing... cars, jewlery, women and money... on every track. That bores me. The beat is just there to accompany the MC.... I say MC not rapper, because I'm separating todays radio/BET rap from Hip-Hop... You're cool King... You mix the commercial with the real... I like that. But This beat needs just a liiiiiiiiiiiittle more to make it complete... I like the guitar idea and I wish I had a real guitarist at my disposal, Kenny is still locked up, Shane disappeared after a 28 day program, my next door neighbor pawned his guitars for drugs... and I'm not talkin' herbage either (He's a dumbass if ya ask me.... but I've known him his whole life), Jared OD'ed... dead and who knows where my other buddy, Muttner, went off to. Sounds like some real rock and roll mofos, right? Nah, they're just idiots with a real gift for the ol' 6 string. Oh don't feel sorry for 'em... Muttner's still around and keepin' it cool... but the rest............

My ramblings aside... I'm a work on this tonight. Sole, what it breaks down to, is that, I may think its good enough... you may think its fire.... But that doesn't matter as much as what the MC thinks... It's gonna be his words over it and ultimately on HIS/HER album. (Gotta keep it PC for my homegirls!) SOOOOOO.... King likes this... he's got some words in mind... I'm gonna work on it a little more. That's the nature of the business, I guess.

Still working on it. I'm moving the synth to the verse, and adding guitar in place of the synth on the hook, but I need to clear some space on my hard drives to fit BFA's Raging Guitars, and I might need to add some memory for my system to handle another instrument in FL8. If I can't get that to work, I ran into a buddy that can shread on the guitar, and he's doing something with this right now, just to let me hear what he can do, but he takes forever to do anything. King also said he might jump on this, and I'm working on another track, lyrically, right now, a little vocoder/auto-tune dis track, to go over one of my other tracks. But this one is definitely getting done one way or another.

Wow man,really great beat. I love that little sinister little 8th note thing you gote going on. You're style is a def a good example of how to have an interesting instrumental with out over doing it and having too much going on. There's a great balance of substance and origanality,and at the same time it's 100% ryhme friendly.
You are def, living proof that you don't have to have ten interlaced harmonies and melodies to make it original and in depth.
I would love to here what this track would sound like with vocals. I bet it'll be insaine!

Scam... thank you for seeing that. I've been saying that for a while. And before there was oversaturation of instruments in beats in was a case of minimalistic underproduced beats. I remember back in like '03 there was a bad boy song that sounded like someone beating on a snapple bottle, then it had one breakdown with some fake scratching and cutting... can't remember what it was. TIME$ said that the current collabo contest would be the last TIME$ contest for a while. I'm posing the question here. What about a conscious hip-hop beat contest? I'd be the host and one judge, and Scam, I'd like you to judge as well. Whaddaya think? I'll make an official post towards the end of the TIME$ contest. I'm gonna do the contest a little different than all previous contests.

Their will be 2 categories for sale. One would be to buy a master and get full rights 100%royalty no obligation to recognize the original producer and the other would contain obligations of recogniztion and royalties. I just got EZ Generator and installed it today. Nothing is set in stone and your the first I've mentioned it too so if you want to get in on this, and help me getting let me know I'm open for suggestions.

I'm not 100% vouching for this because I haven't had the chance to personally get this product, but I've at least heard of it. It's a CD with 101 music business contracts. Most likely in .pdf format. There is also a nice link section waaaaaaaaaaay at the bottom of the site to places like ASCAP, BMI and the U.S. Copyright office. It's worth a look. Creating a site like you're talking about... it's best to cover your ass legally. Contracts and agreements are the easiest and cheapest way to go, without hiring a lawyer.

oh yeah this one is real tight the piano is great bro.
Yeah I'm totally lovin on the piano. Some real talk type stuff. the highhats are kinda loud though. But definatly the piano is sick. and I love the synth on the chorus.

I just heard back from SwampGuitar. He's gonna try and lay some serious guitar over the chorus, and the synth has moved to the verse. It should be 100% complete by then. As for the hats, it sounded good in my phones and in my car, so maybe you're highs are turned up a tad too much. I'll check it out in the phones again, maybe it's me.

Yeah I have my highs up, just because I never feel like I get the full eq range of instruments without it. But then again I used to get yelled at for having hats up too much so that might be it also...
