AMAZING TRACK BRO!! What a bewitching melody,aw man that shit chilled me to the bone. Great.beat great accent, very classic. That track could be a hit right there with the right rimes
hehe, no it was supposed to be an oldschool track, I started only with the rhodes and the beat, t6he I added the bass and finally I found those alto sax samples...Added some slight effects and that was it...
Thf for your comment!
Old school circa '96-'98! I'm thinkin' Gang Starr in particular! Mad chill, crazy cool!

Hear that. The Alchemist is sick as hell. He's def one of me fav's. I can def see the primo thing goin on,also remind me of that guy who did stuff for common.I don't remember his name. I think he died of kindney failur or sbmthing like that. Your your own brand tho pitbull, your shit is nasty as hell. I don't think your beneeth contending with any of those guys.
Jay Dee, or J Dilla of Slum Village, died of kidney failure (or heart failure, depending on who you ask) due to complications of his TTP, a rare blood disorder. Although later on, it was said that it was Lupus rather than TTP, causing the problems. I have all of Jay Dee's stuff, including "Donuts" which he recorded from his hospital death bed. Genius producer taken way before his time. Worked with Common Talib, Madlib and a shit load others... Sad story really. Forgot about him, good catch!

In agree the alchemist is one of my favs too, premier is the sickest producer of all times!
thx guys
Can't really argue there skill wise but content wise and inginuity/originality
I think Dan The automator is the sickest, although he wouldn't be a good fit for alot of rappers, and lets not forget Prefuse73,the sickest st8 up instrumentaist.
Top shelf pitbull. Love this little number, very chillaxin.

thx abeyant, nice vocabulary I agree with grandscam
Always keep my eye (ear) out for new pitbull tunes. Love the chilled vibe to this one, with enough going on in it to keep things energized. Soulful feel to it which fits it well.
When will I finally get to see (hear) more mattunes? lol
thx a lot bro
Ahhh... Automator and Prefuse... Another two artists I have a huge library of! Don't forget Fat Jon! 5 Deez!!

All in good time Pitbull ;) All in good time lol.
Oh hey, I seem to remember that you're involved in boxing or some form of competitive fighting right? You might be interested in this too...
Just recently I've been really getting into the "Human Weapon" tv series. Its 16 long episodes, each one focusing on a different countries fighting discipline, many I've already heard of such as Muay Thai from Thailand, Karate from Japan etc - but lots I'd never heard of, such as Eskrima from Phillipines, Sambo from Russia, Krav Maga from Israel etc...
The hosts of the show are a pro MMA fighter and a former pro football player/wrestler, and they watch the local professionals fight, then learn the discipline in a week, and attempt to fight an expert in that style :P Usually with fairly brutal results either way ;) Also has animation of what each brutal move they learn does, and how it can be used most effectively.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Weapon
You can see a few short video clips on their website or on google video and youtube.
haha, nice! Yep im involved in Jeet Kune Do, its just like MMA!
Just watched the wikipedia article about those series and some videoclips...Nice idea but I dont think your power should be limited by certain styles. Just like MMA, they mix up all sorts of styles. Hope you know what I mean hehe ;)
thx anyways!!
but damn i like how they explore the history of the different styles! thx a lot man, ill be back when im finished watching all of the vids hehe
Aha thought so, that's pretty badass, respect lol!
Oh yeah for sure, in fact that's one of the really interesting parts about the show! For each country, they train with say the oldschool traditional master, then the modern competitive style trainer, then that countries elite raid/swat type group - and note all the differences, like which styles have borrowed what from other countries fighting styles. Very cool. There is an MMA episode too, but in many of the eps they train and compare the various styles which might help in MMA type bouts. I bet you could get something good to add to your fight moves if you went through all the episodes ;) Theres allll sorts of styles/moves covered, both offensive and defensive, ranging from useful, to easily fatal :O Probably best to go easy on those!!
Haha told ya! I found myself hooked on the show, and theres a lot of it (16x45min shows), and I'm not even a fighter! Figured that someone involved in the sport would get even more appreciation of the shows content than me ;)
Yeah have you seen the Krav Maga ep. yet? I actually took notes on that one and have been fooling around with the gun disarm. I got it DOWN! But the first d00d that they train with is the SHIT! He said something like, "If you have a pen, stab him in the eye or neck... whatever to take your opponent down as quickly as possible..." I knew then, I had to train in that style... Krav Maga is one hardcore, fight for your life, no holds barred fighting style! Too bad I can't find a Krav Maga gym/dojo here in ATL. It's all about the Hapkido here. F**k that! But seriously, try that gun disarm they showed in that episode... it works really well. Just don't use a loaded gun... I used a BB gun cuz I don't own a real gun...... yet. Are they gonna do another season? There's a lot more styles to cover that I'd like to see. Especially Brazilian and Caribbean styles... Jamaica's got one that looks like break dancing... kinda like the moves Eddie from Tekken did. It's sick!

Hell yeah, I've seen em all now :P Krav Maga is brutal, and seems very effective, particularly for real world life or death moments.
I sure hope they make another series, surely they could find plenty more styles to try.
Just been reading about Jeet Kune Do, it sounds very cool
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeet_Kune_Do
Ahhhh... I thought you were talking about Bruce Lee's fighting method. "Way of the Intercepting Fist" a style not defined by any style... a method to "flow like water". Any Cowboy Bebop fan will recognize this as Spike's fighting style. Quick precise blows and fluid like movements.

Damn Ive also seen Krav Maga yesterday and I just thought about planning my trip to Israel, I agree the first trainer is the SHIT! and ive never seen anything like this before. this is REAL self-defense. Did you see the part where they compared the defense of Krav Maga to the defense move of karate? You see it doesnt differ that much in the end, just that karate is tradition and krav maga is reality.
Dont get me wrong I love both, modern and traditional styles, but in the end it all comes down to this: "Absorb what is useful" (Bruce Lee), no matter where it comes from!
I just found a place that trains in Krav Maga that is 1000 yards from my shop... I just thought the trained in Tae Kwon Do, but apparently they train in Krav. I'm gonna find out the cost. When you can kick that much ass, names are irrelevant!

aah, wait, ill look 1000 yards ffrom my house too...a few hours later: I searched the whole terrain within 1000 yards of my house...nothing, lol
I dead for real... I looked in the yellow pages 'bout 2 mo. ago looking for krav maga gyms... nothing listed... Shoulda googled it to begin with. Kim Bros. Tae Kwon Do here in snellville ga, has krav classes.... 1000 yards from my shop, less than 1000 yards probably.
Funny thing 'bout them, is they have an after school program called Kickin' Kids... let me tell you... after school lets out... there's a few neighborhood kids I'd like to kick! Little bastards! They don't move out the way of cars! They just stand there and give you dirty looks. Wonder if the Kim Bros. have any openings in the child kicking class... Also, I thought kicking kids was illegal, but maybe if take their classes you could a get you a license to do it.

hehe, yep I know what you mean. in the morning its even worse, when they block your car all the way
What the hell are you guys talkin about?! I live in Alabama. If someone gets in the way you just run them over and then bury them in the backyard! :0) Damn man! I have heard the song ten minutes ago and I make it a point to read ALL the comments prior to typing my thoughts. For one thing I will have to check out the show. For a second thing, great chilled out track P!t. I loved that shit man. Cool as ice and nice ancient staticky sound to give it that ol' flavor. Really good job on this one. You should have submitted this to the TIMES contest bro.
Great song. It has this mix of ol'school and jazz. The sax sample is bad! The hats are cool too. Nice job. very mellow.
thx sole, yeah but theyre searching for down south stuff or at least I thought I read so once. Ill launch a new oldschool comp/ beatbattle soon!
thx thompthomp!
Oh wow! This is cool as ice and chilled to the bone my man! Love it.

thx bro always appreciate your comments!
I like the idea! A hip-hop beat battle in my area of semi-expertise! I think the commercial/radio play beats are hot, but its as if they make the beat so hot that you don't need to say anything real on it. If you're gonna work a beat down so hard that words are just an after thought, go the whole 9 and make an instrumental album like RJD2 or Nightmares on Wax (BTW... Nightmares on Wax are the SHIT!!! If you ever wondered who did those beats between bumps on Adult Swim... it was them, Boards of Canada and Psyche Origami) Count me in when you start the contest!

Marcoastbeats: Pete Rock? Damn, thx a lot!
oh and I posted your link in the song description, I thought it deserved it!
Applause ** Good work on this track you threw down. If this were a meal it would be the most popular dish in a fine five star French restaurant and you'd be Emeril lagasse - BAM!!! This tune was well mixed i like music like this. i love hard core hip hop (Wu Tang, MOP, Flatliners) but theres a place in my heart for this chilled and mellow hip hop.
Awesome pitbul frigin awesome
