This one is nice and hypnotic jonny, what did you use to put this together?

Hey matt. Ableton Live 7 for the master sequencer. Cakewalk Rapture, which I'm demoing. A couple instances of Absynth 4, a couple instances of my beloved Stylus RMX and some 160db loops, which I chopped to bits, modified in Live & effected. Plus usual reverbs, compressors, eq, etc. Although I didn't master the final mix.

I was away from my studio, so I had to mouse in notes manually. I prefer to play actual keys, but you gotta do what you gotta do!

very nice track man....the scifi sound at the end is really tight....is that rapture?....i have rapture....dont think ive ever heard that sound....then again i haven't really explored that vst to its fullest.....anyways....again...very nice track....flows great and sounds professional

Hey Frank! Thanks dude. The sci-fi sound at the end is actually Absynth 4. I'm a sucker for Absynth, but I've got to say, I'm liking the sound of of rapture. I'm also pretty excited about the upcoming Spectrasonic's Omnisphere, as I'm a fan of their products. I'm thinking that it might be the power synth of the decade. A bit pricey, but it looks very impressive. Have you checked out the demo videos?

I'm glad I taught you everything you know about music. ALthough I would have made it sQUisheR I still found it entertaining and professional even though you have a slower computer than I do.

Go with Reason to start, especially if your into electronic music. A friend of mine uses it for classical, so you can see the diversity. Reason is good because it has a ton of stuff and you get to patch and route stuff just like real hardware, use compressors, eq, arpeggiators, etc. But honestly, I use Ableton Live mostly these days, with a select group of plug-ins, but a lot of ideas start in Reason. So then, why would I recommend Reason? Because it will integrate with any software you use that supports Rewire, which I believe FL does, and you'll have a universe of tools to play with and most importantly, you'll learn a lot in the process.

Hope that helps.
