This is a short part of a serious rap beat I made the other night.I was going for a LiL John or Pastor Troy kind of feel.If any rapper on here is interested in doing a collab and rapping to this one let me know.
Note - I have not mastered this track yet.I just finished it up and I am not sure I have it how I want it yet.So give me some feedback on this one.It is one of the first rap tracks I have ever made.I also have listened to rap since I was a little kid and started listening to techno music when I was 16.So I have a little better of an ear for rap music.

Thanks bro ya I like the little hook myself.Those are actually Pastor Troy vocal hooks I got off the web.I still want to touch this track up a little,but it is pretty much finished.Thanks for your comments guys.Inferno told me the other day that I was better at making rap.I told him rap beats are easy to make they are simple,but when you start making techno it is a lil more complicated.Plus I have hung out in the ghetto and listened to rap since I could remember.I started listening to techno when I got in high school.So go figure.

I dont ever listen to rap music. I would have to hear a bunch to classify anything as dirty south ballin style. I will find ATL and listen to it to get an idea of the way things are wanted. That is as good as I can get it. But you will definitely have an original on your heads that is for sure... and no matter what it wont sound quite exactly like what they have heard before.
That is cool man check out some lil john and the eastside boys or pastor troy that is dirty south bro.The beat sounds similar with the 808 instruments.

Well I have listened to tons of rap and this is my first rap tack ever made.I am still working on it though.I just got my mic yesterday and I need to go get a adapter plug to plug it in to the comp.I am still working on this beat.I was not completely done I was just putting it on and getting advice.I also gave Sole the chance to rap to it,But I got some real nice plans for this piece.

I don't know about sony acid pro because I have extreme music creator and it looks exactly the same. So I uninstalled it. Here is an awesome awesome link for any help you need for sony anything.

Ya I got it working Matt.I had it plugged into my mic input.I could hear it through my speakers, but it wouldn't record, your advice helped alot though you were right on the money man.If any one has trouble getting your mic to record in acid pro Matt answered that problem in the Acid pro 6 forum you will see floating around.By the way Sole extreme music creator is made by acid for the record.That is why they look the same.Thanks anyway dude Matt helped me out with it.I would also like to thank you Matt.I would have figured it out, but not so quick.I was kinda puzzled untill you gave me that advice lol.

How about getting microphone to show in FL? I have that problem. I cannot use fl vocoder. HELP?
In acis pro all I have to do is push record and it opens a new audio track and starts recording the mic.Try going on a new project so you don't mess any of your work up.Then try pressing record and using your mic and see if it works.I will play around today and try to figure it out as well.I will let you know if I get it.

Also man I left some advice on how to use all of your fruity vst's in extreme music creator.I use them all in acid pro.You have to go into your vst search folder in extreme and make it search in your vst folder.It will add them all.

Ok Sole I figured out how to record your voice in fruity loops.Go to tools at the top.Click on one touch recording.It will tell you to set you driver to ASIO.After you do that close it and go to tool and click on one click recording again.This time it will tell you to set your input and it will take you to the mixer.Set your input from left to right.Then go click on one click rcord again and it will open up a new ausio channel and start recording your voice right away.Hope this helps bro it let me record mine in there with the same steps.After you do all of that you should not have to do it again.Every time you want to record your voice just go to tool and click one click record and bam you are recording.

I guess I need to try installing fl 6 again. The one touch recording isn't an option in tools.
Ya it should be in tools on the top bar where file and channels are.That is how you do it though man.The only thing that sucks is when you record your voice when the track is playing it also records the music with your vocals.That makes it hard to go back and edit your vocals.You can always record your voice on a new project and then export it and put it in your track.That is the way I have been doing it untill I get the hang of things.try reinstalling FL.It works on mine I don't have a clue why you don't have that in tools.It says one click audio recording right above Macros in the tools section.What kind of mic are you using?I am useing a Dynamic mic.From what I heard and experienced they are pretty good.When you reinstall just follow the steps I explained.It should work.

One thing Sole, if FLstudio is saying you have to switch to ASIO mode before it will work, if you're still using onboard audio, you won't have that option.
That may be what it is Matt because I had to switch to ASIO before I could record.It tells you that when you click on one click recording.

I am all set now guys. FL6 is on and I can vocode now with integrated sound but my mic port on my brand new sound card doesn't work. Thanx.
Hey Sole, that will probably be because of your audio settings in Windows. You probably still have your integrated audio setup as your microphone input default in windows, so none of your software will even know about the soundcards mic input.
If you want to, you should be able to change that in your Control Panel in windows under "Sounds and Audio Devices"

Hey here is the new version.I still want to turn those bells up a lil and add a piano.Other than that it is finished.Sole and I are collabing on this and both going to be rapping and doing the chorus.Sole is also probably going to put the piano in it to his perfection I already put one in it, but forgot to save the flp when I closed it out.

Yeah, I would love to have a copy as it is too. The only trouble is the last time I tried to receive an mp3 via email I couldn't get at it as it was deleted by one of my protection software's. Coolboy, why can't you lower or change your instant email junk settings? I use yahoo (you know that) and norton. From both sides I can specify for what is what. But mp3,s come through fine and the second norton antivirus starts wiping out shit without my consent I will obliterate the program and go to trendmicro or avg or something.

Hey Sole, yes I could do that but I don't normally receive mp3's via my email so I prefer to have the settings the way they are, it does a great job with keeping out all the shit, my virus checkers delete anything suspect. What I'll do is set it to ask me first, in future, also my internet cable company also has deleted iffy stuff sent to me, before I even got to see it and they let me know with a message and it may have been there end that actually deleted that mp3 before, I can't remember, thanks for the advice man ;)
