I agree, where is the god damn outrage? We have been conditioned.

Another great track too.

Its bizarre isn't it?! I find it so strange that especially educated folks can not only be totally oblivious to the facts, but when they *are* informed, have a total lack of empathy for those involved etc.

Case in point, I said to someone I knew a while back something about Robert Mugabe, hideous dictator to Zimbabwe (and responsible for countless deaths and suffering - not to mention the ransacking of an entire country, his own) - and this supposedly well educated person said "Robert Mugabe? Whos that?". I told them, and said "perhaps you should spend a little less time watching celebrity E hollywood gossip channel, and a little more BBC world to learn whats actually happening around our World to peoples of many countries!".... to which they responded with a laugh, "Why?! Who cares?! I don't know them!".

And that says it all really.

It's because back in the 60's and 70's we have nothing like the mass-media and corprotization like we have today. The whole culture has changed and been me-ified. Everyone is a consumer and everything is a commodity.

I'm a university student, and universities used to be the last bastion of critical social protest. Now, we have to keep working just to afford to keep studying and a-lot more people are interested in the next gen I-Pod than previous generations would've thought possible.

There needs to be money put behind media that pushes back against the ME culture and that money can only come from government and/or community sources because every single product pushing FOX NEWS infotainment company has an interest in pursuing the same path. To do otherwise would be a disservice to their shareholders, and thus against the law.

The public and self-interest are not the same thing.

/End Rant.
