thnx for the comment man, i use fl studio and reason, i usually rewire reason in fl studio as i find it easier and faster to work in fl studio

i like the beat, but the kicks could use more of a low-mid boost(EQ) to make them punch and stand out.. Only compress your kicks if you compress the whole song...

That's what usually works for me!

yeah its not bad bro, u got alot of time ta grow as a producer , u will make 100 beats way hotter then this one , proly in the next year . i would start a new one if i was u. after u get this one done . no point in takein time off that just makes people rusty

Here's the best advice I can give on the drums. toogood is right, Run an EQ in reason on your kick AND your bass. EQ the kick somewhere in the 80 - 110hz range with about a 8-10dB boost on the gain and the bass in the 120-130hz range with a similar boost... feel it out. Also, make sure you reduce the bass in the the kick drums range equal to what you boosted the kick and visa versa. Then run a compressor on the kick and keep the threshold around 4:1 to maybe 6:1 and then fix your attack and release till it has that smooth punch to it. I don't use FL so if that's where your drums are you're gonna hafta apply the same methods to an EQ plug in. Hope that helps, but otherwise I like it. That synth is very SNES RPG... and I love it! Hell I wish I was makin' shit like this when I started out!

This track is a great track just the way it is bro! To me it sounds full and doesn't lack for anything like vocals to it. This is one of the best tracks I have heard you make so far!
