This is fire criminal !!! This is the level of production I'm trying to reach......this is put together nice....what bpm do you use to get those snares to roll like that?

criminal's picture

Thanks wolfy...i used 120bpm and dont sell yourself short your production skills are right on...we all can find areas we need to improve on and since im on the inside looking out, i know i can see my own flaws and know i still need to improve. you just keep cranking out them beats bro...u got real talent.

Thanks for the compliment criminal I really appreciate bro. Oneday can you show me how you pattern a beat out at 120bpm? Do you use FL7? I tried it and mannnnnn PLeeeeeaaaasssseee it was way off.

Yo criminal gr8 lookin out man !!! 1st question is how in the hell did you send it that way? That was tight !! wasn't expecting that ( I don't have no computer skillz ) But on the real....how did you get your pattern box to that size? mines only shows 16 boxes

GIECHI DAN PRODUCTIONS's picture

Im diggin this for sure brotha! Hot Ish! Keep Pushin!

criminal's picture

thanks giechi dan keep makin that fyre!!!!!!!

i recorded it with snag it, added my vocals afterwards with dubit and uploaded it to megafileupload.com
for the bpb's (beats per bar) look in the top left corner of your sequencer window, yours should have a number 4 there. just click on the four and roll it up to 8, 16 or 32. when you do this you can do change ups in the pattern so the pattern isnt so repetitive. hope that helps bro

wolf21's picture

Thanks criminal....I never even noticed that. I'll be practicing with it. Hope I can add that to a few of my tracks.

criminal's picture

np bro....i'll be adding tutorials to my site and once its up and running i'll get back atcha.

Made a quickie just to see if I could work with it. It's gonna take me some time to get used to it, but it's gonna expand my tracks like crazy when I get it down. Good lookin out..........one

I posted the results on the page where the song is(it's uploaded on maketunes now). 115th place. It kept doing better and better rank wise but then the damn contest was over. I have no idea how many people were in it. Nice track bro. I really started getting into it. Very nice bro!

Good stuff Crim! That offset stab and melody notes keep a sweet upbeat feel to the track, while that solid drum track with the snare/hihat rolls and other variation keeps that aspect interesting too. Nice one bro, enjoyed the listen

criminal's picture

thank you matt, this one probably took the longest to create. was studying the concept of the offset instruments in audio production class and i think it might just pay off. you guys with a little time on your hands should take as many classes and or view as many tutorials as possible it will also help you out in a long run. I'll be 38yrs old this year and still learning as much as possible. Not doing too bad for an old man with close to 3yrs of experience. Thanks again my brothaz. keep bringing the heat.
