This has been a long time coming! been away for awhile now but finally got my studio set-up working and this is the first track ive done from it. I could use some feedback on the mastering considering im using completely different software and monitors than ive used before! Thanks for listening.

wow. Great song. Makes me feel at peace.

As for the mastering only issue I hear is in the drums. But not huge, The bass drum & clap comes into slightly too loud and the snare could be turned up a bit. And maybe lower the high hats. The instruments are absolutely perfect though.

Great piece, love the minor scale!

I got to agree the clap is off beat , otherwise great job.

I like this. Other than moving that clap to the right about 1/32, its gold. I'd like to hear more work with the piano as the song progresses, but maybe you didn't intend for it to be that way, so I'll shut up. Glad to see you back up and running. We should collab sometime. Seems our styles would mesh well.

Feedback- Information about reactions to a product, a persons performance of a task, etc., used as a basis for improvement.
Promotion- a publicity campaign for a particular product, organization, or venture.

Syed....as we all really appreciate your eager participation on this site, it is imperative that you can differentiate between what is Feedback, and what is Promoting. Popping in and saying "very good", with the emphasis being on Abeyant listening to your song instead is quite lame, to say the least. Sorry to speak up like this, but it seems you do this to everyones songs they post, who are only looking for Feedback. We all review the Feedback Forum. We all browse the Music Page and listen to what has been posted. Please, for the love of MakeTunes, limit your promoting to these ways provided to us. I am sorry to speak up and say this, but you will gain, and maintain a lot more respect here, and probably have most of us really eager to hear your music, if you didn't shove it in our face every time we post one of our own songs we are only trying to get Feedback on. You seem like a cool dude. Young, and full of musical energy. MakeTunes is the place for you, but try not to campaign, because that gets to be a little much at times. Give Abeyant Feedback. Thats why he posted....to share HIS song with us. We will check out your music...no worries about that. Just keep within the guidelines of the website. Thats all I ask. Sorry, Abeyant, but someones gotta tell the dude sooner or later.
Cheers.

hey appreciate the feedback fellas! I guess its just me i think the claps at the right spot, i cant hear that its off at all other than being a little loud. But reid im def down for a collabo sometime!
and as far as Syed goes, i havent listened to any of his stuff due to the exact reason posted above lol.

I dig it alot bro, the claps are a matter of timing taste I guess and I can hear that it's hitting a little early in some parts of the track but that's all down to the swing and groove you are going for. All in all the track is pretty sweet, not surprising as we've come to expect from The Abeyant, gold indeed!!

I'm fillin' (feelin') this. I really enjoyed it. From on top of my head, I can easily make a "never give up" topic sort of rap and rap on this beat. Will it be a pleasure if I could go a head and record my verses down for you brother?

TheAbeyant's picture

hey thanks for listening adam, ive actually got this track entered in a competition so id rather not have anyone rap on it for the moment

Sweet chord progression bro, i don't know if it's just me but i don't hear any bass in there i can hear the kicks but this instrumental could use some bass preferably sub bass to give the beat some body. other than that sweet track.

hey glad you like Jeffo, good to hear from ya!
