Cool track Spartan. At first I wasn't too sure that it was really my thing, but by the time the heavily layered sickness vocal samples kept building and building, forming another melody, I was nodding away like a madman ;) Then when the lyrics came in and stepped up the harmony stuff that was just another bonus. Enjoyed listening to this one. I'll have to give it a more in depth listen to catch more of the lyrics. Could you give me a basic overview of what its all about?
yes i agree with matt,a very colourful and progressive track, like what youve done with vocals. couldnt keep my feet still with that rythm , vocals are massivley good, love it .....youve got some great skills....
Spartan dude! im on the third listen to this class song, you should well pleased with this, its a real grower. the more you listen the more you need, thanx for the download m8
Hey. Thanks a lot for the feedback, it's always good to know what other people think, as it's sometimes difficult to tell yourself. The song was written when I was living in Toronto. It's mostly about the types of people you see in the the clubs, and the almost elitist attitude that's created in those types of atmospheres, until it's painfully clear who's welcome, and who's not.
Although I'm not always the most talkative person, I love to read your messages. There's more to come, so let me know what you think.

Yeah cool - from the lyrics I did catch I figured it must be along those lines. I know exactly what you mean, a lot of the clubs here are the same. Its quite funny actually, often the "beautiful people" frequenting places like that can be seen to degrade into squabbling screaming fighting children as they get more booze soaked ;) I always get a laugh out of it when passing by to go to the rare clubs which are filled with people who go out to have fun (as opposed to posing) and listen/dance to interesting music. Generally I regard those types of people as uncultured ignorant souls, who have totally missed the point about what it means to be alive, and to live life on our Earth.
I call it The Sickness.
Well I'd say thats a pretty accurate description ;)
I afraid these people that you talk of are indicative of capitalism and greed, but these people deserve our pity because they really do miss the point of life and have no way of anchoring themselves to anything real, most of them are deeply unhappy, they are defined by what they own and not who they are.
Incredible song..I feel my own works put to shame :D Maybe the only complaint is that I think the build up of the intro will be too long for most people's tastes, although I personally loved it. The more organic guitar parts at the end are great too. I dont know if you meant to but you REALLY captured the guitar sound of Radiohead! Its like the very live sounding radiohead mixed with the very techno sounding radiohead, but your own things too. Reminds me of Fischer Spooner a little too. Really incredible song.
2 new songs from the album The Sickness for download.

I would buy your album when its done, I hope you can get some play. Its really good, Im always interested in hearing peopels DIY music but this is very good work. That song is like a perfect intro to a CD.
The album has actually been done for a couple years now. I'm working on ordering more copies, and when I get them I'll make a big deal out of it. But you'll be the first to know.
Thanks for the interest,
Spartan

OK! At first I have visited your site and listened to that track "The Sickness". It impressed me so much especially video on the left. I mean the mix when you see and listen... It's really cool track because there's a lot of new modern electronic music but a little bit of unique compositions. This one is unique! I think you've got some rare idea when you start to make this. Well done 10/10
P.S. Sorry for my bad English... It's not my native language.
Thanks for your kind words. I was just angry when I wrote the song, I think that's the key. If you feel passionate enough about something it will always come across that way. Anyways, thanks again, and spread the word!

I just listened to this track on your website.
Far out, I love this, 10/10!
It's really unique and stylish and dark.
"They're all coming out of the woodwork", brilliant.
Is that a didgeridoo in the beginning, sounds like it.

You know it!
Very good. Is that you singing toward the end/2nd half of the song? Listening to this track is definately an experience. I enjoyed it!
Thanks. Yup, that's me. Not the greatest voice, but I like to think the meaning is more important. Thanks again.

Nah dude, I was asking because I thought it was really good. You caught the tone of the song real well in those vocal takes.
I was listening to this track again at work the other day and started imagining a scene in a movie choreographed to it. Because it has got an awesome intro, with the tension really building up it is perfect for something to explode, and the line "get in the car" conjures up all sorts of thrilling action.

I always imagined a security camera in a subway car capturing a crash from the inside, people being thrown around, and everything being shaken up. That's the best way to describe it I guess, but it's great to hear other ideas since there's no video.... yet.
Hey man, as you know im a big fan of your stuff, check out this thread, I'd love to get one of your pieces in the game!
