Turkey I love you!!!!!. You're the BOMB baby!!!!!
Congratulations on reaching the Euro 2008 semi-finals. You play with such heart, courage and soul! Just AWESOME!
Football is truly a beautiful game, especially after Turkey win games and the kebab shops give away those tasty kebabs for free. Keep winning Turkey, yummy! LOL.
Coolboy in the mix.

Haha awesome Coolboy! Congrats to Turkey. I must admit I don't follow football too much, but do respect the mad skills they must possess, and the religious-like fervor the game instills in its legions of fans is something to behold!! And free kebabs... say no more ;)
Thanks Matt lol! You know, I never used to follow football much either until a couple of years ago when something strange happened and the game just took over me and I just cant get enough now!
Well the semi- final between Germany and Turkey is tonight, kick-off at 19:45 UK time on BBC1.
Unfortunately Turkey have 5 or 6 of their key players missing due to injuries and suspensions so the odds are stacked against them winning tonight but I still have very high hopes for them as they have been awesome at coming back from behind and they won their last three matches even though it seemed like it was all over and only a miracle would do. They never stopped trying and they never gave up until the end. They did us proud for sure.
I want to take this opportunity to wish both my Turkish and German brothers the best of luck in tonight's semi-final.
Best regards Coolboy.
Well, what an incredible game that was! I'm really gutted because Germany nicked the game with a last minute goal even though Turkey were by far the better team on the night. It was actually 9 key players not 5 or 6 who were not available, so Turkey really did a fantastic job. They played so well but that's football for you, my fav sport and sometimes the team that deserves to go through isn't necessarily the one who does. 3-2 to Germany.
Well done Germany, you're in the final!!!
Damn I just realised! You killed of any chance of getting a free kebab tonight! lol.
Coolboy.
uh, an American here. I just stumbled across this forum. Forgive my american ignorance here, but we are the only county in the world that thinks of the sport I think you are referring to as Soccer, because we invented this game involving this oval shaped ball made out of pigskin game and named it football because, well, that is what America does. You are talking about soccer right? ;0) you don't have to answer. I already know the answer, and was just being funny. Free kebab does sound really good though... I wish Turkey could have won and then Coolboy could have free kebabs!
Yes while I was typing these comments out I was wondering if my American friends were watching the Euro 2008 'soccer' . Thanks for what you said about Turkey winning so I could get some free kebabs lol. Everybody who knows me, in the UK and abroad, knows that a Donner kebab with lots of chilli sauce is my favourite food. I think the Americans call them Gyro's, and my second favourite is Shish Kebab.
I'm laughing as I write this because it's turned into a cooking forum but it's my blog and I love food so what better way to celebrate doing well in Euro 2008 than by eating my favourite food ;) Ok we lost tonight but what the hell I deserve a large Donner kebab bro so I'm a gonna treat myself tomorrow lol. Thanks Sole!
Coolboy.
I cant take it no more! It's too mouth watering, I'm going to bed now. Hmmmmmm....thinly sliced grilled succulent Donner kebab and salad individually teased into a charcoal grilled pittabread then laced with chilli sauce with a dash of lemon juice.....oh the pain!.......the pain! The sooner I go to sleep the sooner it will be tomorrow lol.
Goodnight.
Damn you man! I am going to Walmart to buy some cheap frozen ReD Baron Pizza! ONly $3.33 per pizza for a limited time. (driving to the store and back again) Well what the hell? It doesn't look anything like the picture on the box! No wonder they only sell it for $3.33 a pizza. What a rip off!!! Wait! What is that lovely smell when I am drunk?! OMG the Red Baron strikes my stomach and the 16 minutes it takes to bake cannot come fast enough! You got kebobs? You suck! :0)
LOL Sole! We have various makes of cheap and nasty pizzas over here too and they're not much better tasting than the packaging they come in. What? So I was very hungry one day lol.
Whoopee it's tomorrow! Lucky me ha ha ha. I'm gonna ask for extra chillie sauce :)
Coolboy.
Yay! Since you are celebrating and this is my last day off I think I will drink vodka again today and do the laundy! Funny how as we get older that what we find thrills us today wouldn't have ten years ago! You lucky kebab eater! ;0)
Laundry...sorry
LOL! Good man Sole.
Coolboy.
How are the kebabs?
I'm sorry to tell you but I lost out bro, because my son wanted McDonanalds and my daughter wanted KFC. I didn't get to eat any kebabs, but I might get lucky this weekend if there's any money left lol.
Coolboy.
Oh and by the way, Spain is through to join Germany in the final of EURO 2008. Spain should win but don't underestimate Germany! Good luck to them both.
UEFA EURO 2008 FINAL Date: Sun 29 June Kick-off: 19:45
Coolboy.
Hope I'm not giving out the wrong vibe here when I say Spain should win, I'm going by their previous performances in this championship and I feel that Germany are just as capable of winning it too. Can't wait to see this match, roll on Sunday.
Ok I won't bore you anymore, I'll just be back with the results Sunday evening, then that's your lot. I can hear your hoorays from here lol.
Coolboy.
Hooray! Go Germany and Spain! I hope Germany wins so that Spain's heads wont get too big! GO Kebabs as well. Juicy choice meat sizzling with bell peppers and mushrooms and...... sorry Coolboy! That was a mean thing to do and being a friend I know just how to get to you! ;0) CHeers man and enjoy the game. Less then 48 hours away and counting....
Sounds like you know how to make a decent kebab Sole! Shame we're not neighbours, just imagine all the delicious barbecues we could be having. There's alot of Turkish people in Germany and maybe I should book a weekend stay near one of those Turkish restaurants because you know what'll happen if Germany wins it lol. I can smell and taste that awesomeness in my mind right now.
Sorry if any vegetarians are ready this lol. Speaking of vegetarians, are you a vegetarian if you eat a fried or boiled egg? My son asked me that yesterday. Food for thought huh?
Hey I just googled it, if you want to know the answer check this out, a thread about boiled eggs and vegitarians:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080114041205AAIesgT
Apparently, and excuse the pun, it all boils down to what kind of vegetarian you are ;)
Coolboy.
By the way thanks Sole lol!!!
Hope you enjoy it too matey :)
Coolboy.
The Euro 2008 champions are Spain!
Congratulations to Spain
Commiserations to Germany
UEFA EURO 2008 CUP FINAL
Spain 1-0 Germany
Coolboy.
Damn! That was close! They only won by a point. LOL! That does go to show how good both teams are. To stop any points, it must of been hectic. Well done all around! I didn't check that link COolboy, but on a personal belief a vegetarian could be swayed to eat an egg I would think because it isn't meat. The kind of eggs we eat never would become meat either. My own conclusion to the subject.
Cheers Coolboy and you can still always have kebab even if your team doesn't win though it will cost you, you know?
PS.... Dude if we were neighbors, our wives would get sick of us being friends, because we would be barbequeing every day and making music every night and they would be like, "What about us?" :0)
I've read some comments about the match and some people said it wasn't all that, but I enjoyed it. Well it had some exciting moments so I can't complain.
Hey bro, I'm glad I'm not a vegetarian, I would be missing out big time!
My better half is already asking 'what about us?' Is all I can say lol! Thank God for take-aways Sole, ha ha ha.
Coolboy.
LOL
Hey I talked to a vegetarian yesterday and she said she will eat eggs. I think my hunch was right.
