Nr.2: Effects for smooth and deep, far-away sounds
This FL Tipps& Tricks will show you how to make your instruments sound like they were far away, they are good for e.g. ambiance pads, but also for all other sorts of instruments which you would like to play in the background.
First we will create the far-away feeling. Select a Fruity Filter in the Mixer pattern of your instrument. Set the cutoff frequency on a bit less than 3/4 of the controller.
Now lay a little reverb on the instrument. Depending on how you want it to sound set the reverb controllers on the fitting values. For some ideas simply check the presets. The preset "Cathedral" might be the one you are searching for!
Last but not least add a compressor and select the preset "Drums". It will make the instrment sound clearer and louder, since it lost some of its volume through the Fruity Filter.
You can add other effects too depending on what you intend to use the instrument for of course.
I will post an example .flp soon
