ableton live and usb audio interface issues

does anyone else have issues of their ableton live failing to open your usb audio interface device??? i recently bought a M-Audio mobilepre usb interface and it comes with ableton live lite 6. anyone good with audio interfaces and drivers and windows vista???? please help i have a gig tomorow and this is not looking good....

I don't see any reason it wouldn't work, except for the vista thing. Depending on how old they are, I don't know if the drivers are vista compatible???

Is it just not registering as an input in ableton or something?

Have you tried going into your preferences and selecting the M-Audio box as your primary soundcard?

Do you see the M-audio Mobilepre as an option in your Ableton preferences at all? Or does it show an error when selected or something? Or are you able to select it in Ableton, but then you're not hearing any audio?

If its simply that you're not hearing anything, are you certain you've got the Mobilepres outputs connected correctly to your monitors/etc? I know it sounds rather obvious, but sometimes its the simple things which get people ;)

Also, are you able to select and use the Mobilepre to power any of your other audio programs?
