Hi Matt
I need halp getting Pro Tools 7 ( PC VERSION ) to recognize my Akai MPD24. My Edirol PCR-1 Is recognized no problem and i can use my Native Instruments with it, but the Akai will not get recognized. Is there any way to use the mixing faders on the MPD24 in Pro Tools? Thanks for all the help if you can. Take care

I have the exact same issue. I'll see what i can find.
Are you able to record MIDI notes in Protools using the 16 pads on the MPD?
I don't think you can set your faders in Protools to respond to the faders on the MPD. Because the MPD is not made by Digidesign it will probably only work as a midi controller, not as a Protools controller.
Even if you could use the faders on the MPD to control the faders in the mix window of Protools, it wouldn't work out well because the faders on the MPD are not motorized and therefore if you move a fader on the Protools screen the corresponding fader on the MPD won't move with it.
The faders on the MPD can, however, be programmed to control parameters within your plug-in that you use with Protools... But it probably won't actually control the Protools features, such as channel faders.
