can i work with ableton live 5 in a macbook pro controlled by an akai mpd24

i work fine with ableton live 5 an my mac, but when i conect with usb my akai mpd24 dosent work, any ideas?

Just to clarify, you can't get the MPD24 working with any software on your Macbook pro? Also, have you configured Ableton Live MIDI settings, to use USB DEVICE etc as the MIDI input?

Have you used any other midi controllers with that Macbook?

What sort of audio/midi interface are you using?

Have you ever used anything else with the Macbook via USB? Ever had a Logitech USB webcam?

when i conect the mpd24 via midi using an mbox it work perfect but when i use it via usb, it seems to be working but is not...
i have other things conected via usb that work fine

Ah ok. So have you specified in Ableton Live that you want USB DEVICE (MPD24) to be its midi controller input? By default it probably listens for standard midi cable input via the audio interface (mbox), but its likely you'll need to configure Ableton to listen for midi input via USB DEVICE.

Also, some people have reported that their MPD24 does not work at all if they've had a logitech USB webcam installed previously. What other devices have you had/got plugged in and working?

well my webcam is in the macbook and the other thing that i use in the usb port is a coolpad... that it...?

im going to try putting the input divece to be the usb controller...

Ok, I would think that the coolpad and internal macbook webcam shouldn't be a problem.

Let me know how selecting the USB device as the midi input goes...

by the way i try in preferences in midi/sync i put ether input and output in akai mpd24(port1 - port2) an all is in on (track, sync and remote) and doesnt work...

at the buttom of that window there is a remote control surfaces and everything is in NONE but the options are for a makie that is not conected at the moment...
