"Daisy-chain" w/ akai mpd24 & m-audio oxygen 8

Whats goin on yall, im a newbie to this place, but it looks promising.

I just bought the mpd24 and am having a tough time pulling myself away from it. im using it with Reason 4, which i've been using for quite sometime now. My problem is my oxygen 8 controller. My mpd works perfectly with reason, but when i plug in my oxygen (thru usb), i have to reset my midi pref's for it to work. When i do this, my mpd no longer works, and i have to unplug the oxygen and restart my comp for the mpd to work again. Is there a way for both of my midi controls to work with reason that doesnt involve the nonsense i descibed above? ANY help would be more than appreciated.
