Dance Music Track competition

This is the opportunity for all of you great dance music producers to submit tracks. I set this up because I noticed a lack of attention paid to dance music on this site. I will be judging the entries.

House, Club, old school Freestyle all welcomed !

There is no monetary award, just the recognition.

Please do not send any remixes, just original dance tracks.

My tracks will not be in the running.

I'm hesitating to join this competition. It just came out of the blue...
First of all, the moderator, Sound Universal Feautiring Kwame K is a new member to MakeTunes' community; I'm not criticising the involvement of a new member but it just seems awkward to me for a newbie to set his own comp.
Secondly, the comp is based on absolutely nothing: the whole forum intro is just 3 lines! No rules, no recommendations, no info, no prize, no nothing. Not having a minimum of input in the forum intro is clearly a sign of nonchalance by the moderator, add to that the near absence of comments from the moderator himself in the forum, with only two comments in the beginning submitting entries. Which brings us to a somewhat technical problem: the moderator, who launched the comp, and who is normally supposed to be a judge in the comp, is submitting entries. And consequently, this leads us to a somewhat intriguing question: Who is judging?
So, to sum it up, I'm gonna have to ask The Sole's questions once again:

Who is judging?
What is the prize?

I will not participate in this competition until these questions are answered. I'm worried for my fellow members as they are giving their tracks, their hard work, to a stranger with unknown intentions. I'm deeply troubled by this comp's suspicious aspect.
I hope things get clarified soon, and I hope I'm proven wrong.

sorry for the confusion everyone. I am new to the site and noticed a severe lack of attention paid to dance music. I wanted to have a forum for those of us who produce dance music to be heard. I have no monetary award to offer. I am judging, and my own tracks are not going to be in the running. If this is not the right way to go about this, let me know which forum would be better.

MakeTunes' is surely not about the money. Many comps have been held before and none had monetary awards. Usually, comp prize are VSTs, VST packs, getting featured on an album, or sample packs, etc...
What I would recommend is having a sample pack as a prize.
As for the "severe lack of attention paid to dance music on this site", I'd have to disagree with you:
3 official Electronic Music comps took place in the past
A Drumming competition ended some 3 weeks ago
A Drum & Bass comp is currently taking place
Check out this link http://www.maketunes.com/38; there, you'll see all the comps that have taken place on the site.
Hip Hop music is a big part of the site, no doubt about that, but dance music is not severely disregarded.
Check out the music of these members:
Ingrid Tornado, RevJoe, ed, Illusive Mind, EUGOD, DJ Bizzerk, DJ Synchro and myself.
We all are into dance music, and our songs fill the whole range of dance music genres.

That's good to hear. I have been a big supporter of dance music since the early 70's. i run a dance music discussion group on Facebook. If anybody who loves dance music is on facebook come join my group Disco Music Discussion Group.

Hopefully this Dance Music Track competition will bring more of us out in the open here on Maketunes !

It is Naskor. You make a ton of it already man. Anything with a quick beat. Muzik is musis is music is musique, Dance music covers a ton of genres. techno rave trance etc etc etc. You were joking right?;0)
