DnB formula

dont know if this is the right forum to post this but im wondering how to make the dnb drum formula. im using FL and i cant get the dnb drums sounds to work with individual samples.. is there a certain way to make a dnb song from scratch and not using premade loops?

hope im explaining myself correctly. im using FL 8 by the way.

yes....bpm up like 160 up....i like 165...mess around with the breaks at that tempo and you'll find its pretty easy....hope that helps

Have you tried Supa Trigga or Live Cut yet? They are a couple of free plug ins at www.smartelectronix.com. They are great for mangling Drum and Bass loops. I tend more toward straight up Glitch/Drone electronica but if you like Aphex Twin or SquarePusher then those plugs are for you.

I gotta add that if you use Ableton Live instead that it is stupid easy to cut up breaks on the fly.

alright thanks guys.. im trying to get the dnb sound from songs like Stars of Orion by Celldweller or Aphex Twin or even Starfuckers Inc. by NIN.. ill try those plugins soon :)

Yeah, I am a Supa Trigga junkie.....I assume that Fruity has a Midi learn function... What you do is take the different parameters of Supa Trigga and assign them to a knob or a slider on your midi controller (you have one of those right? I just use a 4 year old Oxygen 8....nothing fancy) and tweak on the fly.....it is both fun and addictive as hell.

as well as the fruity slicer with other dnb samples....but you'll be amazed at what that glitch plugin will do....i know your style man and that thing will come in handy...cheers

yeah ive seen glitch but never had the time to use it.. i have a few days off now and ill see what i can pull together... thanks. ill check out Supa Trigga too
