Hi Oldboy - have you done all this?

Just to double check the basics, you did also plug in the MPD24 via USB *before* you started flstudio etc?
Also, have you got a logitech usb webcam? Or have you ever had one connected to your machine?
And have you tried a different USB slot?
How old is your machine? Does it have USB2.0?
i've already figure it out... it was the web cam... but i don't get why
but thanx... anyway...;)
Yeah apparently there is some real major clash between the USB driver that Logitiech use, and the Akai USB driver. Probably both companies think its the others fault to get fixed?!
i was scared to death when i pluged mpd and it didn't work:D:D
im having same problem do i gotta uninstall logitech or what do i do?
i got it all workin, but not gettin sound outta the mpd24 the MQ Midi Moniter shows that the buttons are working, n i am getting notes, but for some reason theres no sound comin out
ok i got it workin with acid pro now, im gettin sound but only piano, i dunno how to get drums through the pads. could u reply with tips on gettin drum kicks n stuff through the pad, n how to switch back n forth on stuff
could u help me on that matt.. i dunno how to load drums into the mpd
Hi Scarfac3386 - you need to load a software sampler loaded with drum samples into Acid Pro, and specify that the MPD notes are sent to trigger those instead. You can use the Acid Pro option "Insert Soft Synth" to load whatever software sampler you want to use. Obviously you must have already installed the software sampler before opening Acid Pro and attempting this.
You'll then be able to open the options for the soft sampler that you've loaded into your new song, usually you'll see the layout of the sampler (eg Battery etc), contained within an Acid Pro popup window. Then up the top of that Acid Pro popup window, you'll see a small button with a series of arrows on it - this is the "External MIDI Input Port" button, click it and select USB DEVICE. That should work now. Of course, you have to ensure you've actually loaded some drum samples in whatever soft sampler you're using.
Some people use Battery, some use Kontakt, or you might even like to try the free Grizzly vst (search maketunes for "grizzly" and you'll find it). There are many options for software samplers, but thats whats needed to load whatever samples you're wanting to work with. Acid Pro is your sequencer. Hope that helps.
