Does anybody out there knows of a good vst plug-in that let me use the hundreds of .wav files that i have. I know about fruity and reason but I am trying to get out of using those and just use sonar without the rewire....my computer cant handle it anymore.

Hey poppntagz, if you're after a sampler vst which you can load truckloads of wav samples into individual cells, then you might want to check out NI Battery. Plus it comes with 12GB of samples these days, thats around 23000 drum kit samples.
thanx, i will check it out
Get a faster computer ;)
.. or u can defrag your computer, clean up the junk files, and do some system tweaks.. I can get back with you on the websites.. or can someone else give suggestions?

Check out all of my BEATS
you more than likely have a shortage of onbourd ram, with a combination of too many junk files! to help you till you figure that out, check out this website. its totally free & its works. Dont worry I build computers so i wouldnt offer u a program that would hurt you. www.ccleaner.com
thanx again, i kno its my ram plus i do more than make beats with my computer....videos, photoshop, record, mix and master....i am tryin to get all the use out of it that i can until i can afford to build a computer
Yeah dude. I feel ya. I guess just keep it clean and de-fragged. If you have more than one hard-drive keep your samples on a separate drive to what your app is running from. I find that makes it a bit better too.
yea i agree....get yourself an external hard drive for your samples and stuff....i purchased one not to long ago....its really not that expensive and worth every penny man.....hope that helps
Kontakt 3 is the only sampler work hourse you will ever need. Period.
But if you wanna save on ram and are not into big sound libraries check out this piece of free awesome:
http://vemberaudio.se/shortcircuit.php
Just found it a week ago, wastes waayyy less ram than kontakt and has a good number of modulators.
Other stuff that helps is when you do something you like in a VST or Reason....go ahead and COMMIT and turn it into a final track. You will use WAY less RAM this way. You will also work faster as a result. Trust me.
Yes I should have mentioned Kontakt, I haven't used it, but I've heard great things about it. Meant to be one of the heavyweights of software sampler vsts.
Also the shortcircuit sampler vst - I was going to write an article on it a couple of years back, but I suspected people might be scared away by the layout/feel of the software. I think I'll take another look at it, as it seems to have been polished up since I last looked at it. Should be worth mentioning to people here huh
do u know if shortcircuit have sample stretching
I'm not sure myself, just give it a try out I guess, its small and free to download.
For what it's worth...you could add RAM and that would be really cheap....look in your tower and make sure you get the right kind of RAM but, a 1 gig stick would maybe set you back like...30 bucks.
thanx 4 all da help, i got kontakt 3 and its exactly what i needed, but i dont have space for the 33gig library of sounds right now but it does everything that i can do in reason and recycle put together
Comes with a 33gb sample library?! Thats pretty badass!
yep!!! here are some videos on what all it can do
