Ok people, it's time for another Electronic music competition!

Heres the deal - I have here 10 samples/loops which have been donated by PrimeLoops, including 125bpm drum and synth loops, and some rasta vocal samples... they're a few samples which they've given us out of the following samplepacks:

It's totally up to you what you do with them, chop them, mash them, filter them, edit them - it's all good - we just want to hear a whole range of creative tunes which have a bunch of these samples at their core!

Rules:

Use at least 5 of these samples in your track (you can alter/tweak them to suit).
Use whatever other instruments, VSTs etc you want.
You can enter up to 3 tracks in this comp.

Prize:
The track which we feel stands out the most to us will win the Dirty Electro Synth Loops professional samplepack which has been donated by PrimeLoops.

Here is my entry for the contest. Hope you all enjoyed it. The reggae theme was a bit hard for my 'darker' side, but I enjoyed trying the new direction whilst keeping my vibe on the track. I used Reason 4 and a Roland PC300 midi controller for the live synth. Cheers everyone.

I've started on it, but I'm so deeply involved with my self it's hard to put the time aside for somthing that was allready sound before I got to it. Plus, the melody on that loopd is so catchy I keep getting distracted from the melodie's in the tracks I'm working on.
I've been steppin up my own game, big time and I'm so anxious for everyone to hear it that I've been stuck in a four day state,of "let me just finish this last bit then,I'll walk the dog,or then I'll eat, or sleep,or work on somthing eles. Problem is minutes hours days go by and I'm still finishing that last bit,mean while the dog is dead, I'm slowly starving to death and I'm hallusinating from sleep depreavation.That a overdramatic exageration but I think you get my point,lol

27 Entries submitted for this competition, thats awesome! Sorry for the delay in announcing a winner folks, just my luck I get taken down by a nasty flu thing right when the comp is ending! (and its mid-summer here, what's up with that?!)... winner will be announced soon, don't worry!

We're working our way through the tracks, and have put together a short list of tracks out of this HUGELY varied collection of submissions. Its been an auditory journey I tell ya!

Now remember people, our judging of this comp is of course totally subjective, and whoever wins, or gets a mention, I just want to take the opportunity to say "YEAHHHH! Nice one!" to everyone for getting involved with this, its been a lot of fun, and I bet the many different styles and entries have given people a lot of new ideas and inspiration.

Really difficult to narrow down with so many interesting different styles and takes on the samples, quite an experience going through them all - I recommend you guys do the same, check em all out!

We heard all sorts! From new members and old. Minimalist electronica, immersive trance, experimental entries, glitchy tracks, industrial electronic, even hiphop beatmakers trying their hand at electro and really getting into it! Couldn't have hoped for a better environment of creativity brought about by this contest.

This was definitely the contest where the most heat was laid down competition wise. You could easily get a kick ass mix-cd grabbing tunes from this contest.
