MPD24 + Ableton Live help

Hey guys, first post here want to thank you for any help i'll be recieving.

So i've just gotten into the whole production game a couple months ago, i own an axiom 25 and mpd24.

My axiom 25 works great with ableton the presets on it were perfect, but obviously the mpd24 is giving me some troubles.

As far as midi mapping goes, the mpd24 is doing fine, i can map all the pads/knobs/sliders with ease, but the problem is i don't want to have to map each button everytime i start a new set. I know you can save your midi mappings as the default set but that still isn't really what i want.

Basically i want the sliders on the mpd24 to control the volume for the first six tracks, regardless of what track it is. I've been assigning each track to a slider, but the problem is if i switch tracks around or delete one, then the midi mapping dissapears.

So does anyone have any suggestions? i've been figuring out who to set what notes to control via the mpd24's lcd screen, but i dont konw how to get that to control volume.

Also, one last thing. I spent hours yesterday changing the one of the default presets on my MPD24, I was changing the notes that it played with each pad so i would have an IMpulse preset, but for some reason after i change all of them it doesnt save it and i lose all that work, so is there something im missing on how to save presets after i edit them?
