Hey guys...
I just received my mpd24 and got it running with Reason 4. These are my questions....
How do you assign sounds to each pad?
Has anyone got the transport buttons to work on this thing?
Thanks in advance!

Hi rpacio, welcome to maketunes.
You should be able to load up a Redrum, and load whatever samples you want into each sample slot. These can then be triggered with the pads.
Yup, several people here have got the MMC controls working between MPD24 and Reason 4, though I'm not sure exactly how right now :)
When you go into the Reason preferences, and go to the keyboards/controllers section, is your MPD24 listed as an "Akai MPD24", or as a "generic midi controller"? I believe thats what was needed with Reason 3... I think from Reason 3.04 and higher, they included an Akai MPD24 preset with Reason, which allowed all the extra knobs/faders/MMC controls to work by default.
hey matt!
thank you very much for replying and welcoming me here. :)
please excuse my lower case typing as i am a lazy ass...lol!
anyways, my reason 4 (most updated version) actually sees the mpd24. the most disappointing thing is that the transport controls are not supported even after the most current update. i end up contacting support and see what they say. i will make sure to relay the information here.
No problem rapacio - make sure you do let us know here what they say. I've checked with a few others here, and their MMC controls from MPD24 to Reason 4 are working ok, so I'd be really interested to know what the vital difference is that stops it working for some people!
