Multiple Keyboards in Logic Pro 8?

What I'm trying to accomplish is to record two keyboards at the same time. Keyboard 1 being something like a synth lead and Keyboard 2 a bass. The problem I'm having is that I can not get the tracks to only accept midi from a particular keyboard...Keyboard 1 plays both lead and bass, Keyboard 2 plays both lead and bass... I know It has something to do with setting the physical and sequencer inputs in the environment view, but I'm not sure how this is suppose to be set up... Thanks in advance. =)

Presumably you're meaning you're wanting to control 2 VST instruments using 2 different MIDI keyboards?

I'm not really familiar with Logic, but there will definitely be a way to select a specific MIDI channel or input device, most likely amongst the specific MIDI track details. Most programs such as Cubase etc will have a couple of dropdown boxes for each individual midi track you've created. You should be able to select the specific MIDI input device, and also the specific VST instrument you wish it to control.

Some others who have experience using Logic should be able to give some more precise instructions, but thats my general theory :)
