Music Upload Trouble at myspace.com

Good morning wherever you are (and whenever...)

I have posted this at several places without any response, so maybe some of you know how to solve this problem:

I´ve been trying to upload new songs to my profile at myspace.com. I always had errors uploading the songs saying things like "File Error" or even "Copyright Infringement"...

Even when I had succeeded uploading my songs and been waiting for the files to be converted by the system I got a response saying "File Error, delete and upload again"...

Has anybody heard of such problems and knows how to help me?

I have uploaded the same files right here at maketunes.com and it worked well. So there can´t be a problem with the files really...

Thanks a lot in advance, even if you just say "Julian, I know how this drives you mad..." Hahaha !!! :-)

BTW, Matt and Coolboy, how did you know it was my birthday two weeks ago? (I couldn´t find my date in my profile - just curious :-)

Hehe, um I think you mentioned it was on thursday (friday?), when it emerged that it was my birthday earlier that week :)

As far as the Myspace thing goes, hmmm not too sure about that sorry. I've been meaning to get my own myspace thing setup, but haven't gotten around to it as yet. I'll see if I can, and try uploading myself to see if that error pops up for me too.

Regarding your birthday Julian, like Matt said, you mentioned it in passing while we we're all talking about Matts birthday. You don't hear me Yelling out my Birthday, do you!
Sorry I cant help you with the Myspace problem as I've never used their Website before.

Okay, I´ll eat the icing and send you the rest of that chocolate cake... *g*

Gotta get real: I finally succeeded fooling the myspace system. There probably occur upload errors once there is already a song on their server with the same name (or filename) of your very own song.

So I changed the file name to something stupid (jhjkhukgs.mp3) and used a different song title to be displayed - and, lo and behold, it worked. The song is up (yet waiting to be converted into streaming format...). I then re-edited the song´s information along with the song title.

This seems to work, in case anyone else might get into the same kind of trouble...

Ok cheers Julian, now don't go eating the whole cake claiming that the icing was very deep,hehe!....Anyway people you clicked on here to find out about a problem with myspace and you've since learnt how to bake a cake and eat it!.... I take full responsibility!....it was Julian's fault really! :) Just kidding Julian! well done mate in finding a way around that Myspace problem.

I've had a few problems myself, But I just wait it out. Make sure your songs don't have any spaces for example:
DJ Charr - Heredity.mp3 should be
dj_charr_-_heredity.mp3
And don't upload photos right away, I usually wait until it's processed completely.

I ve done it all at once and it worked , check the size of the file it has to be 6mg or less , make sure is mp3 also u might have to wait 24 hours for it to appear.

PS: Maybe theres already some tune with that name. i hope it helps :)

First, you cant upload origional music to a standard myspace page. You must signup as an artist. Once you've done that you have to find the codes for a media player and upload your mp3's. Ill make that part easy for you just go to http://myspace.com/shadowensjoe and steal mine. When uploading your songs ive found that the best way is to import them into itunes and select preferances - advanced- covert selection to mp3. Hope this helps.

An easy way to put your songs on my space is to create a reverbnation page (it's free). once you upload your songs in there They give you a player called a widget you can just copy and paste the code into your bio section on your my space profile. While your at it look for Dubo Jones. Allright peace out. This site is still cooler.

Yes i have trouble with this to quite often.

Are you by anychance using software such as FriendBlaster or like wise cos,i found that to be the cause of my trouble, when i uploaded them using
internet explorer everything was sweet no miver??.
Dont know if that helps but Be Lucky :O)

I'm not much of a myspace user but I've heard a lot of people get their accounts zapped from using those automated friend adding things, just something to watch out for those who weren't aware that could happen. Not certain how common it is.
