New layout maybe?

Hmm.

One of the things I like about Maketunes is it's stripped back easy to navigate look. I don't like websites with too much clutter. This site loads in an instant as well. It seems more about functionality rather than fancy shit here there and everywhere.

its nothing really bad that i noticed. As a music producer its great to have a place online to hang out and talk to other producers and artists on the fly as there are always members online willing to offer advice and tips, and to me thats your unique selling point. I understand that websites can get too cluttered, but that doesn't mean you have to take the visual content away completely. I refer to what i said about when i first logged on, I seen loads and loads of text and for me thats a turn off straight away. To little text can also be tacky but when you get the right balance, visually its more effective and as a result it will lengthen the stay of your users. Im not dictating to you by the way, and i honestly do love the site. the point system is a very clever tool. To display the highest users like a chart is a great incentive to use the site. I also think there should be a small sign up fee for membership as it appears alot of work has gone into this project. This is just my opinion so its not factual.

If there had been a charge It would have stopped me from signing up.
I believe a website should be kept as simple but functional as possible.
The layout of maketunes is fine.
