Hey guys I just bought my first midi keyboard/controller, it works nice, I like it alot the only problem is, I don't know how to the set the midi controllers to a program like...lets say microtonic..can anyone help me? im such a mohican when it comes to this stuff lol.

The way you assign a midi controller to a specific VST instrument depends on what sequencer (also known as Host program) you're using... FLstudio? Cubase? Sonar? Acid? etc

Basic theory is, you load your chosen VST instrument into your sequencer, and then there will be a selection method (often a dropdown box) next to your VST instrument, that will let you specify which midi controller you want to be assigned to that instrument.

If you can't find it, let us know what sequencer you're using and we might be able to give you some pointers

yea i'm using fruity loops. some vsts i use are pro 53, vanguard, microtonic and stuff like that, i tried setting them but i just can't do it, maybe im missing something?

Flstudio users around? Care to comment? I'm not overly familiar with flstudio, but there are loads of people here who use it, many with midi controllers, so I'm sure someone will be able to help
