Hey,
I'm just getting home recording and want to buy a new pc notebook- i don't want to build my own so whats the best bet for a system that needs the least configuring?

Get a DELL! (I am a Dell Hardware Warranty support representative) I guess it is a bias answer huh? But seriously, order the dell catalog for free and then you can pick 'em up for as little as $450 and it will stomp anything out you are needing!

Sole is right, DELL is a great computer! I have one myself that is the center of my studio. But I also have a MAC notebook. Apple is the standard in the music production industry.
