Oh and are you sure you want to normalize (constant gain) and not use dynamic compression (varying gain to keep dynamics)?

Compression is a fine art, I'm constantly learning myself, mixmasters out there don't be shy with your wisdom!

thxs illusivemind for the info,i normalize only due to my samples some gives red line so what i do is normalize them for not having to put my plugins on to which later in the mastering stage i can.my plugins pull to much cpu power so i try and advoid that but if you got any better suggestions hit me up i am all ears lol.i got that info somewhere but if thats not cool lol shut me in a different direction lol.these damn self help books is a muther lol.

Hey welcome to the mix Sir Input - make yourself at home :)

Haha, I'm from the 'if it works then do it' school of Mastering Philosophy.

I also frequent the 'the CPU is god damn red lining again!' library, and try to minimize that as much as I can (without purchasing a new CPU (YET!)).
