alright thanks man
you'll first need to have hardstyle beat/synth/bass samples...cause you know it's a different sound...as much as I know Fl doesn't have hardstyle samples...all the best
"...my way is the HARD way..."
Honestly there are 100's of ways to do any kind of bass. If you are going for that fat relatively distorted sound, you should get your hands on "Sample Fusion - Killer Tweaks 2" sample pack. Hardstyle beauty.
If you like the idea of using synths, the best way to go is to layer up saw wave oscillators and then filter them trough a fairly sharp Low pass filter (18, or 24db per octave filters). Maybe run two of those 3osc synth FL Studio has inclueded, or figure out how to work with sytrus.
In any case, never expect a one time does it tutorial. Do a couple of simple synth lines, each time maybe changing the volume, or cuttoff on various oscillators.
Ok sorry sytrus is a pain to learn when you are starting off actually. But in general what you are looking for is the saw wave.
yea, well i've made hard sounding beats with sytrus, but it takes a bit, after a while my track starts to crackle cause the volume is too high, i try lowering the volume and all but it keeps on peaking. but i'll check out that pack you were talkin about for sure. as for melodies and what not, vangaurd works wonders.
oh btw, uuhh, how do i open sounds that i have downloaded for FL? i got the Killer Tweak samples, just don't know how to open them, sorry for being a newbbb
(haven't used Fl in a while, might need to ask arrond a little more), but I think under options, where you set your midi and audio preferences, there is also tabs that ask you for vst locations as well as... your library location. Just make sure that the killer tweaks pack folder is within the library folder.
if this is a vst watch this tutorial

if its a sound sample just drag and drop it in to your music browser....hope that helps man
