Removing Soft Porn

I think the site would look more professional if the 'soft porn' or ladies pictures were removed from the image galleries and a policy put in place that this is not the place to be uploading that kind of material.

I realize people are trying to rack up points, but it really doesn't add anything to the community.

I have wondered myself sometimes whether I should put that in place as well. I'm certainly not a prude, but asses all over the site do kinda detract from the focus/knowledge of the site and community...

Not only that, but I suspect some people (both potential new contributing members and existing members) are put off spending more time on maketunes because of this... especially as the random image block can put them in peoples faces whether they're wanting to see them or not...

I think this could be especially true for people wanting to surf the site at work/school/college etc too...

I'd be interested to hear what others think on this subject... I know there'll be some for and some against. But I gotta say I'm leaning towards cleaning up the site myself. After all, there *are* more than enough sites with all the booty in the world out there, perhaps I'm doing our community a disservice by allowing this sort of content here?

Not that i dont like porn whenever my wife walks in she thinks im looking at a fetish websites for big buts . so maybe save it for other sites?

Hehe gotcha, gotta love the ladies lol - but yeah, I do get complaints about some of the images occasionally as well... its time to refocus things I think.

I agree, you can always get that sort of thing on MYSPACE, with all the webcam spam friend requests. If that is what your into....i mean ..haha LOL!

although I did comment on one the pictures, SHE was nice.

Perhaps the solution so as not to upset the uploader of whatever pic it was is to somehow make those pictures be in a classification which isn't part of the random picture cycle system. That way if there are big butt lovers out there, then they have to specifically look for it and it isn't like BAM! -there. This too would stop the uploader from getting angry. Might be hard to write code for that specifically, but hell I have complete faith in code writers.

you could always just make a specific forum for those pictures with html tags enabled so it would display the image and ask all the maketunes members to only post them in the proper forum. I've never tried to put an html tag in a message on this site, but I noticed that they've been posted on the main page so you might already be able to do that. lets see if it works.

I've never tried to put an html tag in a message on this site, but the formatting options say you can and I see clips from you tube on the main page so I imagine I can post a youtube clip on any forum.

I just tried to post a youtube video and it didn't work so I doubt any image links would work either. Either way it doesn't matter to me but it does to some so for maketunes to appeal to a wider range of people I'd say it needs to be done. Really though I'm just glad they aint fat chics
