Okay, here we go again. Like last year this will be a yearly thing here at maketunes. The idea? Make a scary song to enter, but make the scariest song to win. The winner gets his/her pick of a vocal collaboration with me, a big sample kit of bad ass scary samples, or a mystery vst, or an instrumental to own/use, copyright free from me. Are you the scariest mofo out there?
DEADLINE: OCTOBER 22nd midnight central standard time
JUDGES: The Sole, Poh, Adam Purski

Contest starts now. No previous submissions previously uploaded to maketunes. Vox or samples ARE allowed. Contest ends a month from the time it makes it onto the noticeboard. I will edit this introduction once the date is set. Hopefully it will be over before Halloween, as this is just absolutely perfect for the 'scary season'!

Your song link must be placed in this contest forum to count. There is NO limit to the amount of submissions in this contest. You gotta make it spooky or it wont even be a question, or place a rank.

Well guys if they do the haunted house after this comp is over I could probably swing it so the winners song is added to the haunted house play roll, but maybe not. They are busy setting it up right now and might not be able to squeeze it into the timeslot. Good thought though. In order to be considered for such a thing though the producer would have to make something geared toward that haunted house style. Less music and more special fx. hint hint.

SITEL Corporation. One of the top three largest outsource corporations in the world. I started working for Sitel back when it was Service Zone in 2001. They sold the corporation to Client Logic which merged with Sitel but kept the name Sitel. On December 10th I will have worked for the company for 8 years. Last year they played my two songs in the haunted house and this year it will be my three songs. Next year hopefully it will be a 4th song and a testament to my 'scary' producing abilities. Last year they wouldn't play my two tracks when kids were going through the haunted house. There are TWO Sitels within 30 miles of eachother. Winfield Alabama and Hamilton Alabama. I have worked at both and curently am working at the one in Winfield. They get serious about going all out with the haunted house and devote almost half the building to doing so. My daughter, Breanna, was literally brought to tears last year because it was so scary. She has vowed to never ever go through another haunted house again as long as she lives.

very weird l3k. When your link is clicked on it makes me become logged out man. I tried it a few times. Something in your code killed me out everytime. By the way guys... I just went through a room for room tour of the haunted house at my work with the big boss telling me what they were after. They are playing all three of my songs there and also for each room I will be doing the room theme effects. Thanks guys! Yeah it is a high honor. They should have about 300 to 500 hundred people going through the haunted house, so it will give me some great local exposure! I may need some help getting certain sound fx needed guys. I use sound snap, and you can only download so many each month for free. I might already have everything I need. Aight... I haven't head a lick of what anyone else has done. I wanted to just go for it without reference. Last year I tried, and instead made a suspense track, that ended up creating its own category! lol!

During the process, I accidentally conjured up spirits from the great beyond, due to specific frequencies that I inadvertently used during the recording. Turns out these frequencies can break through the divide between worlds, and the spirits were really diggin' the spooky vibe blasting out my speakers, so they lent me their voices via EVP! I know, right? That was so nice of them! I should send them a thank you note.... Where's that Ouija board at?

Ok... that totally didn't happen, but it would have been bad ass if it did... but the voices really are EVP samples. Thanks YouTube!

I have one room left to create scary effects for and then I will upload them in sequence. To put it from a different perspective. maketunes has two rooms uploaded to it but I have 7 more done... but gotta knock out the last one and then I will upload them right after the other and it will give you an idea how the haunted house will sound. Also in the background, my three songs already compositioned will be playing ever so slightly with sounds like the baby cry from SILENT RESIDENT EVIL HILL coming in through the center speaker. There is all kinds of panning involved with all these rooms and fading and just majorly eff-d up scary sunds involved. All in all a remarkable project that I have thoroughly enjoyed making for sure. I will post the links in order from start to finish once I have them totally done.
