Hello Guest - Should I lock old competition threads?

Hey guys, just something I'm wondering about - should I lock old competition threads so that they cannot have comments added months after they've finished? It would stop old comps being bumped back up to the top of the comp forum.... and while someone won't be able to comment on that old forum thread about a specific entry for example, they'll still be able to click through to that entries music page and comment to the artist there....
What do you guys think?

yeah sounds like a way to let people know the active contests.. or you could just put (active) or (unactive) next to the names of the contests. whatever is easier on you matt. either way it would work

Hehe yeah I figured 3 out of 3 positive reactions would be enough of an indicator ;) I think it makes sense when it comes to contests, just to keep the active ones most active, and the expired ones archived...
I agree1 It is pretty cool to see how many competitions maketunes has already had. We are starting something with that on maketunes. I think it draws and attracts other artists too!
