Its time for the next contest.. Hope everybodies ready.. This one gonna be a little different.. First off this is just a beat contest. The prize for the winner is nothing more than to know he is the best among the beatmakers here on maketunes.. As of right now Dans the Tsar of New Zealand is the reigning champion with two consecutive wins.. Can he be beaten.. Which country will take the crown home with them.

Like I said..This is just a beat contest.. We have no intentions of writing over the winning track or any of the tracks for that matter. If you wanna hear us over one of the tracks let us know.. And if we like your tracks enough to wanna write over it we will ask but not for any album.. Our album is done and ready for production just waiting on the cash to get it rollin.. Enough about that.. Its Time to compete... Lets Go

I wanted to throw in my two cents worth(congrats to all the winners by the way) ... but the contest rules were no vocals samples. To choose the winning track the track must be compliant by the rules and certainly not take first place. Vox gives an edge to a track, bottom line. But this is your contest and your rules, I just don't understand.
maybe next time you can be a judge sole , me and Ted might not even judge and Make it a complete track or beat contest. Of course if we dont judge you know we will be eligable to submit tracks . If we do another contest???? We have alot of ideas ,makeing it so people can put our hook on there song , as a downloadable accepella track. Let us know everyone what you think the "Time$ 4 contest" should be????
Ok.. I guess I'll explain it...
The vocal sample only give a edge to the song if it was considered as part of the song. for one the vocal track didnt make the song any better, actually made it sound a little bit worse. secondly we disregarded that it was there because it sounded so good standing on its own. Me and tom agree that it was the best song out of all the entries.
I know where that vocal sample came from and did a mixtape track like 4 to 6 months ago to the real original version which wasnt made by poppintagz. Another thing is I know that he does not intend on using that sample in the song as a finished product, he more or less put it there either for fun or to keep people from being able to get ahold of a full version of the instrumental. which one Im not sure.. Thanks Teddy. It's all good bro and Sole made a valid point there because the rules were broken no matter what the reason. I'm sorry but rules are rules and a track merits a disqualification if they are broken, sorry homies but that's my honest opinion.

We break rules constantly. I've had some pretty outragous lawyer fees cause of that. Wheres the cheat code for more money? This time we broke our own rule..lol you cant say were not entitled to do so when we made it up.
I've seen sole change the rules of one of his contests. mid contest, multiple times. The only difference is he called it updates. Sounds a little hypocritical to me.... I dont remember anybody saying anything to him about it either, I know I didnt and I was one of the judges. maybe me and tom should just punch ourselves in the face.lol Better yet the next beat competition we post, the first rule will be NO BEATS Second rule All entries will be automaticly be disqualified lmao
Bro if you could point out exactly where the update wasn't an update in a competition of mine I would appreciate it. As far as I know it is and always has been an update. I hold to my rules man. But like you said maybe you can have another contest and everyone can punch themselves in the face and the person to knock themselves out first can walk away with the cheese. The big cheese.
I'll just say this, as far as I'm concerned DJWillieF you are the rightful winner here bro and I do care what other maketunes users say but I've got to give my vote for what is just, as I see it.

thats the point.. Just because you call it a update does not mean you didnt change your rules mid contest, do you understand that? you can change your rules and call it a dinosaur for all I care.. In the end your still changing the rules. And I do care what the users of maketunes think but I dont care when you guys start being mad about some dumb shit. The winner is poppintagz regardless of what anybody says. He is the rightfull winner because he made the best beat. Djwillief is a very good beatmaker and it seems you and sole are way more worried about this then he is.. It could be because he didnt want to say anything or maybe he actually respects the decision we made. Who knows

You are the one who said you didn't care what I thought. Hey man in the long run it's your competition so you are entitled to run it how you see fit. YO IT IS WHAT IT IS. I'm fine with the contest decision If judges felt Poppin is the winner then he is the winner no matter what!
But I'm not gonna disregard what Maori, Coolboy, and Sole think, I respect their decisions also!
