Hey guys and gals.

Just discovered this website and I must say; It's a "bag of rad".

How old is it? Looks quite new given the amount of forum posts.

Anyway, I'm lookin' forward to listening to what everyone is up to and to upload some of my tracks for your enjoyment/scrutiny. It's awesome to know that there is a website like this where us writers/producers/musicians can talk crap about all those weird little noises that we love.

Awesome!
It looks great. I think the thing that stokes me out most is that everyone seems so encouraging and positive and is willing to share ideas and information. Much different to some of the other forums I have frequented in the past.

Oh yeah, that's what it's for. Look to your right where it says active forum topics. If you post links to your songs in the "DO You Want Feedback" forum, you will get more comments. That and by commenting on other's songs. Lot of people, so it kinda helps to get noticed more. And if you need help with anything, just ask somebody.

Thanks very much Sumgai :) Yup Sonya is pretty much right there, I started maketunes about 2 years ago. The forums haven't seen nearly as much activity as the music upload section, where people often end up having the bulk of their conversations. I think theres almost 6000 original songs that the maketunes community have uploaded so far.

I'd like to encourage more use of the forums this year as well, because it does make it slightly easier to find useful info on specific topics, and helps a LOT of people searching the web for answers to musical questions.

I've tried to keep the focus on positive and constructive interaction between musicians from all over the world, which was the original plan I had when starting this site... and the vast majority of people here are into that ideal as well, so the community vibe just keeps on building! I think most of us have made a lot of good friends here.

So make yourself at home, and spread the word! :)

welcome to maketunes sumgai...this has got to be the best i have come across in a long time...these guys always have time for eachother and you will be shocked at the amount of talent you'll find here...i have been making music for a long while and i dont see how most of these guys dont have contracts...im usually really active here but due to increase in work i've slacked off a bit...but best believe i will be returning full strength as soon as possible...cant wait to hear some of your tunes....take care..

Welcome bro! Yeah lots of us do different genres too. The best thing about maketunes to me though is the feedback option to lay down on each individual track. There is nothing like uploading 20 songs to a site and getting only one comment on your music from an artist. Something like.... "hey bro you got some great music here. I gave you a 5 rating, and feel free to check out my page" CHeers man. Maketunes is the place! It will only grow...
