Good Question....hmmm...
Well Sixx, I think mac's are great for creative stuff like design and music and I dont think they are really a computer for playing games on. But I think now you can actually get Microsoft Windows for Mac's now so I guess it would have to be a Mac for me...lol. Even though I have a PC...lol.
I dont know really though....hmmm. Can you build your own Mac like you can PC's? Is the Mac more upgradable then the PC. You should maybe look at what software is available for both too. Maybe there are some Mac users on here that can help too. Be interesting to see what other people think on this one.
Here is a site about running windows on a Mac hope this helps too.

Well they have Pro-tools for PC now, I should know cause I have it. Which makes PC the ideal setup cause you can use FL, REASON, & now PRO-TOOLS, its a rap!!!

I'm not sure if you can build mac up like pc's..thats a good one. my guy has a mac and the way he spoke about it i thought he was a salesman. shiy! he sold me just that quick....but ill look into it fo sho!
Ahhhh.... It's that question again. Man, I say just go with what will work the most flawlessly for the longest periods of time. If you can build a PC that is equivalent to a Mac you'd like to buy for less money, go for it. Really, whether it's PC or Mac, neither will hold you back unless you let it.
On the low tho, I was raised on windows all my life, but since I started producing I only use Mac computers. Apple and Digidesign are simply my style. I'll kill a PC. Never been angry like that at a Mac. You gotta find your style and go with it man, good luck. Let us know what you choose.
How much $ you spending on it?
You can build a Mac up all you want... Starting from scratch you'll be best off just customizing a new Mac at apple.com - I think things tend to work well together when its all from (or made specifically for) one brand name: Apple. You can always add anything to the rig later. Any new MacBook Pro or iMac (or Mac Pro for that real $) will pretty much handle any music production you'd be doing at home. Just get at least 1gig of ram and you're off.
ok i think i'll stick with the pc...i found barebone pc's @ tiger direct for a lil less than nothing and you can build it urself.
Hell yeah, there ya go.
