First Side Of The Setup

First Side Of The Setup

Note: I cleaned up the cables so when I have to take one piece out, it's done within 2 minutes.
I'll upload some pictures of that soon :)

Quick overview.
From left to right.
One pc made for audio productions which uses the m-audio 18-14 interface.
an akai mpd24.
an acer laptop for chopping loops and run ableton live 6.0.9
a stupid stereo which will be replaced with genelec monitors.
the blue synth is the oberheim which actualy isn't a real oberheim.
it's the ob-12 an pretty old analog synth from 2001.
beneath that is an cheap yamaha psr-403 for normal instrumants (like sax, piano, etc...)
and on the right side is an m-audio aries mic.

In total?
something around 3000 € withouth cables.
and i have some gear standing with friends cause of lack of space.
normally this setup would have cost something around 4500.
but i knew where to get the good parts for a low price ;)
like the oberheim synth i got it for just 200 €, which is cheap for an hard analog synth like that.
I think this is a good example how to get a nice setup within low budget :)

the only thing i want to change is my old crt screen replaced with an tft from samsung.
Anyone got suggestions for the most practical screen size? 22" 24" or 26"
and i think i even saw screens over 35 inch" in a store next to work? my guess it was an 42 or 45 inch :o
but even though i work in a computer store, i never saw those in stock.. my guess is that they we're to expensive to keep it in stock.

and Reid.
i have a leather desk chair which is quite comfortable
so i couldn't care less about that crappy chair :d
i'll get a new one after my recording booth and the big ass screen :)
