I get that response. It's a nice guitar for sure. I bought it new in 1977 for about $800. A new one now is around $2500 starting.

I don't know much about guitars, but that one sure looks classy. From what little I know, the words "Les Paul", "Custom", and "1977" also tend to command a strong price tag, and the respect of guitar lovers everywhere :)

Yes nice axe indeed. I have an Epiphone Les Paul which plays nicely, but really this is the Mama.
