the world has forgotten about live music

can someone please tell the music industry to stop the hip hop insanity. I'm not bashing rap, rap is cool but hiphop and rap are two different things. nobody plays instrument any more because everyone wants to be a rapper. and dont let me even begin on the fake fruityloop producers. many of us have spent years cultivating our craft, yet these socalled producers with little more than fruityloops or an mpc are making freaking millions off of tracks that are nothing more than organized noise smothered in bass with degrading lyrics as a topper ( its time fo a musical revolution) we have to put the music back into the music industry.

hi djdiskobob ! wow you have a lot to get off your chest, i myself know little about rap and hiphop and the differences but i like all kinds of music,. I am a guitarist and pianist and singer etc but i have heard some amazing works done on fruityloops, i had a go at fruityloops and couldnt make anyhting worth listening to, which was a good lesson to me because it showed that it takes a certain kind of skill and musical ability to use fruityloops well, any idiot can use fruityloops and get a sound out of it but not everyone can do it well, some of the guys on this site have blown me away with their creativity on such programs, for me music isnt about making millions, it would be nice just to earn a living doing something that comes naturally to me. Dont get me wrong i understand your angle and i agree there is alot of pants music out there making millions and it is sickening epecially when i hear so much talent here in maketunes which should be out there. the trend in the music industry is to make as much as they can as quickly as they can, then dump the artist and move on to the next one. the music industry should nurture artistic talent not rape it, Accountants run record companies. maybe and probably this is capitalism at its full blown diseased state, sorry ive just written a book. lol

yeah i agree matt..i tell you one thing that freaking horrifies me is something i saw on utube or somewhere where a studio engineer used a piece of software to put the singers voice in tune cos she was a crap singer, that sort of shit make me want to slash my freaking wrists. if i had a studio, that kind of software would be banned! and any singer who needed it wouldnt even get through the door, i hope i dont sound too opinionated but as a singer i think vocal correcting software is outrageous .

first let me apologize to all the FL users, I have heard some realy decent tracks made on fruity loops
one of my good friends who cant even play the spoons is a fruity loop master, my coment was aimed at the millionare industry users .
for instace there is a retared rap song called shake that laffy taffy. the track which sonds like an atari 2600 sample was made on fruity loops. and these guys ravished the charts with this stupid song so to all you serious FL users my apologies.
